Dads Affecting Destiny is a program aimed at increasing student interaction with positive male role models. Dads, uncles, older brothers, grandfathers and other family and community members are encouraged to spend time in our school. Whether it be five minutes or five hours, the amount of time you can share is determined strictly by what your schedule permits.

Dads Affecting Destiny can support education and safety at Val Jackson by:

• Encouraging students with a smile or high five
• Greeting students at the door at arrival or dismissal times
• Assisting with lunch duty
• Assisting with recess duty
• Assisting staff during special activities
• Mentoring
• Being available and approachable
